In a previous post, Lightning Damage to Ethernet RJ45, I wrote about how lightning had damaged an outside 900MHZ radio, an RJ45 and an ethernet cable. Again, I have replaced some equipment that had been damaged by lightning. This time, the damage is more extensive.
As you can see below, the surge protector was also hit with the damage.
In the photo of the Surge Protector, you can also see where it looks like a power supply or a device had been plugged in when lightning struck.
Here is the SDA that was plugged into that outlet. You can see the damage that was done inside to the SDA as it struck.
Even the Cat5 cable going in and the one going out of the SDA were damaged.
