As a local Comcast user (who is about to switch to AT&T DSL for this and various other reasons to be discussed later) I recieved the following email regarding Bandwith Caps soon going into effect:

Dear Comcast High-Speed Internet Customer,

We appreciate your business and strive to provide you with the best online experience possible. One of the ways we do this is through our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The AUP outlines acceptable use of our service as well as steps we take to protect our customers from things that can negatively impact their experience online. This policy has been in place for many years and we update it periodically to keep it current with our customers’ use of our service.

On October 1, 2008, we will post an updated AUP that will go into effect at that time.

Reading some news, I came across the title of an article dated August 28th, 2008. Nissan Moves Into High Gear on Hybrids on Globe Auto Then I saw the picture of the EV-01. Woah. Talk about Flashbacks.

The EV-01 sounds so familiar! Now I know where I have heard it from. Years ago when they KILLED the electric car!. Yes, this route has already been gone down.

This is nothing new. Years ago, the EV-01 was “so” perfect of a car, Oil tycoons and people with stock invested, car companies too - were not making enough money from the car. Less oil changes, no gas… wheres the profit? And now that we are in a bind with gas… all of the sudden this is something that could “help” us?

Jeffrey Zeldman brings a wonderful point to mind: Save the Accessibility Institute! Seen here at Jeffrey Zeldman’s website he helps spread the word of a great cause !  http://www.zeldman.com/2008/08/29/save-the-accessibility-institute/

Accessibility is one of the most under-utilized parts of a website.

I hesitate to say feature because it Accessibility should never be added onto a website as a “feature” of a website, more along the lines that a website should be itself and also BE Accessible. Confusing? Would you rather have to “make” milk Duds with chocolate surrounding caramel after you brought the chocolate and caramel home? Add a feature to the caramel? Or would you rather enjoy opening the box of milk duds and just eat them while enjoying the caramel on the inside?

Still confused? Read the page from the link and find other links from there. It would be easier than me trying to think up a cheesy analogy.. :)
