Firefox 3 beta - Minefield

FireFox3 Example

I thought I would check out to see what the latest Firefox has in store.  I downloaded the latest Firefox 3.03b beta

A few things I have noticed after playing around -

So far, so good. I like it! Time will tell how it holds up in the end and how it handles web development

A Phishing We Will Go: FireFox

I have been using Mozilla’s Firefox for the last few years. I have seen it get better and better too. With the new Release Candidate available for download now, and the Beta about to become available at this week, I thought I would give the newest version a try.

My first reaction.. it seemed a little faster loading up WebPages. My second reaction? It is a LOT faster to load up WebPages.!

Move over IE, you have just been dropped.

My IE has been crashing more and more lately. So, I tried to download the latest IE. Considering my IE freezes up about every time I launch it, that made it sort of hard to download. I finally got it, but when I tried to install IE, I got a message saying that a newer version of IE was already installed and setup would discontinue.

HUH??

I know I did the IE 7.0 side by side with IE 6, but that was a few reformats ago. I have not updated IE for at least a couple of months.

So why do I get an error saying a newer version is installed? Oh well. Forget IE. Back to FireFox. I use it more than IE anyway.

So, I see today that Firefox RC3 is up for grabs. So, I download it. And, I LOVE it!

Not only does it load WebPages up super fast (Like it should be on a 5.0 DSL connection) It even has some new features in it. This time around, there is an anti-phishing tool. This is supposed to warn you when you are on a site that could possibly be a scam. It can check a local list or it can check Google.
